Rhinoplasty in Dallas: Reddit Insights on Nose Job Surgeons

When people start researching rhinoplasty surgeons, it’s common to turn to online communities like Reddit. Patients share their experiences, post before and after pictures, and provide feedback about surgeons across Texas. While Reddit can be a helpful resource, relying on it alone is not the best way to choose a rhinoplasty surgeon, whether it's your first surgery or you're looking for a revision rhinoplasty.

Key Insights:

  • Reddit can point you toward popular surgeons, but board certification, expertise, and real patient testimonials and results remain the most reliable criteria for finding the best rhinoplasty surgeon in Texas.

Why Reddit Can Help You Find a Dallas Rhinoplasty Surgeon

Reddit is popular because it offers unfiltered patient perspectives. Users often discuss what recovery feels like, how consultations went, and whether they were satisfied with their results. Many also share cost breakdowns, which gives new patients insight into budgeting.

Reading personal testimonials on forums like Reddit can help you narrow your list of surgeons or know what questions to ask during consultations.

The Limitations of Reddit

While useful, Reddit is entirely community-driven which means all posts are anecdotal, not scientific. This is not inherently a bad thing, however it's important to note that not every comment is verified, and experiences can vary depending on surgical technique, patient anatomy, and expectations. Ultimately, there are other factors besides Reddit popularity when choosing a facial cosmetic surgeon.

What Really Matters in Choosing a Surgeon

Board Certification

  • Make sure your surgeon is board certified like Dr. Randy Sanovich, as these surgeons have additional training and surgical experience.

Real Patient Reviews on Rhinoplasty

Real patient stories can be helpful, but you want to know that you are reading something that is true and accurate. Although Reddit posts may not be verified, the reviews on our website and social media are from real patients that have been willing to share their experience! Here’s one story from a patient that had rhinoplasty surgery with Dr. Sanovich:

“It’s been a few years and the most positive, life-changing experience for me to get my nose done, and after seeing so many posts of other people looking for a rhinoplasty surgeon, I had to share my experience. It’s so important to find a surgeon you trust when dealing with your face and I had such an incredible experience with Dr. Randy Sanovich and Dallas Surgical Arts that can hopefully help others make a decision on who to have surgery with.
After seeing so many beautiful post-op results, I knew I had to go with Dr. Sanovich for my rhinoplasty. He only operates on the face, head and neck so his experience and knowledge with facial structure, muscles, anatomy, aesthetics, is extensive which made me feel comfortable with his surgical approach. Having the board certified credentials is super important when choosing a surgeon and Dr. Sanovich is board certified in facial cosmetic surgery and board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery. This was one of the reasons I trusted his office. I also had him address a few other areas on my face with CO2 laser, etc. but I’ll focus on the nose job / rhinoplasty for now.
My main concern was that every time I smile, my nose would turn down and get wider. Dr. Sanovich told me there is a muscle that pulls the tip down and by releasing / repositioning that, he could correct this problem. He also was able to smooth down a hump that I had on my nasal bridge to help give me a more aesthetic slope to my nose.
I’m a super visual person, so being able to see my projected results through the 3D imaging they took at my consult was really cool and definitely helped me make the decision to book the procedure. Being able to see what I would look like after surgery just really helped me visualize my new look, and I started thinking of all the future photos where I would be smiling and no longer dealing with this concern and it made me really happy. I know it’s kind of a small thing but it really made a difference in my confidence and I felt like I could finally see myself in a way that felt true to who I am. I like that during the consultation, he basically just asked me to talk about what bothers me but never once did he make me feel like there was anything “wrong” with my nose. It was like he was just there to help me enhance or correct what was bothering me, rather than trying to make me into a “plastic” or completely different looking person. He is also very nice and I never felt like I was being ‘talked down’ to, in fact he was really down to earth in his explanations of how the surgery would go.
I haven’t really ever had surgery before so this was my first experience with anything major. I can honestly say this rhinoplasty did not hurt, like not even one time. Granted, I kept up with the medication (set alarms!) and was religious with the post-op routine (use the arnica they recommend) but that is the secret to getting amazing results, minimizing bruising, and staying ahead of the pain. They also have a v-beam pulsed dye laser (PDL) at Dallas Surgical Arts that they can use to help with bruising if you need it.
For what it’s worth, I have so many friends who have also had surgery or treatments with Dr. Sanovich whether rhinoplasty, jaw surgery, Botox, even facelift and all of them have the same amazing experience regardless of the procedure. I think it’s the natural results he focuses on, but also the follow up care as you never feel like you’re bothering him or their staff if you have post-op questions.”
