Clinical Precision vs. Temporary Volume
Chin Filler (The Non-Surgical Approach)
Using high-density dermal fillers like Juvéderm or Restylane, we can "build" a chin in just a few minutes.
Benefits: Quick procedure, usually takes 30 minutes to an hour. Zero downtime; immediate results.
Disadvantages: Must be repeated on an average of every 12–18 months; cannot permanently shorten a long chin or fix significant asymmetry.
Genioplasty (The Structural Solution)
A sliding genioplasty involves repositioning the chin bone itself, either forward or backward.
Benefits: Permanent solution; improves the "airway" for some patients; can physically tighten the muscles under the neck (the "built-in neck lift").
Disadvantages: Requires 7–10 days of downtime/recovery.
