"Dr. Randy and his entire team are phenomenal. From my very first consult through post-operative care, the experience has been unlike anything I’ve had before. My jaw journey began in 2019, long before I knew about Dr. Randy. Unfortunately, that meant three failed surgeries—a bilateral arthroplasty (twice), and then a botched total joint replacement with a LeFort I. Eventually, a fellow patient told me about Dallas Surgical Arts, and by that point I knew something was seriously wrong. I’d been living in debilitating pain that no medication, injection, or PT could touch. My third surgery had left one side of my face lower than the other, my eyebrow paralyzed, and my quality of life completely devastated. I lost my joy, my confidence, and even had to close my very successful business. The pain had simply become too much to bear.
By the time I met Dr. Randy, I was desperate but determined. Going in for a fourth operation was terrifying, but the possibility of relief and a whole lot of faith pushed us forward. Just shy of a year after that TJR and LeFort I, my husband and I made the trip from Northeast Florida to Texas. From the very first appointment, I knew we were in the right place. The consultation was smooth, compassionate, and thorough. Within minutes, Dr. Randy suspected a non-union and potential additional complications, though we wouldn’t know the full extent until surgery.
Fast-forward to October 2, 2025: the plan was a total revision, upper blepharoplasty, and a brow lift. When I woke up, my husband told me the news… we had been right. A complete non-union… and more. The weight that lifted off my chest in that moment is something I’ll never forget. To know the pain I’d endured for years was REAL, and not something “in my head,” was indescribable. But here’s where everything turns around. I came out of that surgery with more hope than I’ve had in years. My joints were stable. My plates were no longer loose. I could taste again. And by some miracle (one no one can explain), the paralysis in my eyebrow resolved. Praise God. One thing I deeply appreciate is that Dr. Randy understands aesthetics are just as important as the mechanics. I’m now eight weeks post-op, no longer reliant on prescription pain meds or Goody powders around the clock, and I finally have my self-esteem back. I’m already putting things in motion to return to work this spring. Looking at me now, you would never know the hell I’ve been through, the scars are barely visible. Week by week, the progress amazes me.
If you’ve made it this far into my review, I hope you feel a glimmer of hope because there is hope for those of us dealing with these jaw issues. But I also hope my story encourages you to choose a surgeon who is not only skilled, but truly invested in your quality of life."

(The recovery and follow up checkup took 6 months to a year) Dr. Randy and his team made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. "I have been coming to this office for at least 4 years to see Dr. R Sanovich so he can keep an eye on my Right jaw joint replacement that I had done 9 years ago in another state. He was kind enough to make sure it stayed healthy. Well, this year it was time for my Left side to be done. He, Emily and the rest of the office staff are amazing and have helped me through the whole process. From the pre-op appointments to the post-op appointments, everything has been really awesome and on track! I am only at a little over 6 weeks post-op from the surgery and I have minor pain (muscle pain from eating too much.lol) and my range of motion is almost to where I started before the surgery and I am not even half way to being totally healed. It's for sure a success!! I would totally recommend Dr. Sanovich and the office if you need to get a jaw joint replacement!! I will have to post another update in a year :). "I had double jaw surgery aka orthognathic surgery with a different, local jaw surgeon...and I needed to have a revision or rather, a complete re-do. I went to multiple consultations with lots of different jaw surgeons and all but 2 turned me away because I had bicortical screws from my first surgery. They are difficult/time consuming to remove and a lot of surgeons just won't do it or don't have the skill to do it. Dr. Randy was the first one to say it could be done and he was willing to. Another surgeon I saw after Dr. Randy Sanovich also said he could do it, and that surgeon was in network with my insurance but I chose to go with Dr. Randy because of how he treated me. He is so kind and compassionate, non-judgemental, he seemed to truly understand how devastating it was for me to feel like I needed surgery again. He was incredibly informative and never brushed aside any of my questions...
Dr. Randy was honest the entire time, and he was excellent with my pain management as well. His surgical team was so respectul and personable, they took special care with me because of my tendancy to faint when I'm getting poked with a needle, and they made sure I had anti-nausea medication since I'd thrown up after anesthesia before, they paid attention to every detail of my needs. His office staff is always so kind and personable, I truly can't say enough good things about my experience there.
I also feel like, considering the massive surgery I had and what other surgeons across the country charge for the same surgery, the pricing was extremely fair. They really care about their patients and I would recommend them to anyone needing orthagnathic surgery, revision jaw surgery, or any facial plastic surgery. You will be treated so well and you will have an incredibly skilled surgeon. I'm almost disappointed that I'm nearing the end of my surgery journey because I enjoy the people at this office and I will miss them. Thank you Dr. Randy and team, so much."
